The FAB for Life Foundation, Inc. (FAB) is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization established in November, 2007 as a public charity to financially aid graduating special education students with post-graduate costs associated with continuing education and/or career training programs. The creation of FAB was inspired by the life’s work of a very special woman, Frances Amalfi-Bennett, who in her 28 years of teaching affected and positively influenced the dreams and aspirations of so many students with special needs. Through her unselfish commitment and pedagogical talents, her students learned subject matter and life skills, and developed qualities that influenced them to become successful and productive members of our community. Fran was an incredible motivator and was responsible in directing and guiding so many students down the road to success.

Fran’s life was taken away prematurely by breast cancer and her family decided that a charity should be formed to continue her life’s passion and further assist special education students to realize their dreams. With the support of family, friends and our community at large, FAB plans to make a difference in the individual lives of students and work to help these students make positive contributions to their communities.
